Die 2017er Modelle der meisten Hersteller bieten gegenüber den 2016er Modellen nur geringfügige Änderungen wie z. B. Dolby Vision. HDMI 2.0 mit HDCP 2.2 und HDR (für 4 K Inhalte) ist mittlerweile Standard bei den neuen Geräten. Denon hat jetzt ab dem X1400 schon HEOS integriert, damit ist der X1400 sicherlich wie in den Vorjahren der X1200 / X1300 wieder eine top Empfehlung für den Heimkinoeinsteiger.
